I'm getting really interested in creature, character and enviroment design. This are some bug concepts I made tonight, about half an hour each.

A new painting, it was made for the dinosaur pet challenge on the DeviantArt group Design-A-Character. I am trying to improve my skills and so I took on the challenge of joining this group and doing some of its challenges, I hope to do at least 4 or 5 pieces for it, just to get my abilities in shape. This was the newest challenge and I loved it, I inmediately thought of these awesome dinosaur that appeared on Jurassic Park (dilophosaurus) which could spit acid and had this frilled neck, while none of these qualities are real on these species and are both just created for the sake of film making, I love it's concept so I decided to use him. The neck obviously resembled the weird necks used in the fashion of the Elizabethan era I thought of creating a character using that kind of fashion style, while none of the characters are historically accurate, I think they are really cool, hope you enjoy it.
