A bride :)
I did this sketch while my girlfriend was in a interview and I was waiting outside. It is inspired by her and a few brides we had seen in some magazines that week.
Hi there! This is probably one of the last updates for a while.. school is about to start and I have to do in this last vacation weeks the homework I was supposed to do the whole summer... but anyway.. it was a good summer, I hang out with my friends, had some very special moments and the awesome chance to spend time again with a nice girl I hadn't seen in months. I had sleepovers, I got drunk but not wasted, went to some parties, and painted a lot, I even have some traditional work I can't show ya 'cause I don't have an scanner. I'll try to update as often as possible, maybe just some features and stuff but I'll only post work from other people if it's totally mind blowing or at least very nice looking, so it might be worth seeing it... Hope you enjoy this post, which I made for a contest held on deviant art by the all pink lover tagl ... I really need the exposure... see ya around...
A new painting, it was made for the dinosaur pet challenge on the DeviantArt group Design-A-Character. I am trying to improve my skills and so I took on the challenge of joining this group and doing some of its challenges, I hope to do at least 4 or 5 pieces for it, just to get my abilities in shape. This was the newest challenge and I loved it, I inmediately thought of these awesome dinosaur that appeared on Jurassic Park (dilophosaurus) which could spit acid and had this frilled neck, while none of these qualities are real on these species and are both just created for the sake of film making, I love it's concept so I decided to use him. The neck obviously resembled the weird necks used in the fashion of the Elizabethan era I thought of creating a character using that kind of fashion style, while none of the characters are historically accurate, I think they are really cool, hope you enjoy it. I put together a little tutorial on the process to create this piece. Click
The Rarámuri or Tarahumara are an indigenous people of northern Mexico, and are renowned for their long-distance running ability. The word for themselves, Rarámuri, means "runners on foot" or "those who run fast" in their native tongue. With widely dispersed settlements, these people developed a tradition of long-distance running at least 100 miles (160 km) long through their homeland of rough canyon country, for intervillage communication and transportation. The long-distance running tradition also has ceremonial and competitive aspects. Wikipedia The raramuri are some awesome people, they have races that last for whole days without a break, they keep many of their traditions and are very strong people. Hope you like this Wind Waker style rendition of the people of this great culture. BTW. thanks to David Holland for being our very first follower :D - Los tarahumara son geniales, tienen carreras que duran días enteros sin descanso, mantienen muchas
